Perrie Edwards braves the rain to watch boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain play for Liverpool, after an early night on New Year’s Eve

PERRIE Edwards ended up a little bedraggled as she braved the rain to watch boyfriend Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain play for Liverpool today.

The Little Mix star wrapped up warm in a sheepskin and leather jacket as she accompanied Alex’s mum Wendy and dad Mark to the Turf Moor stadium at Burnley.

Despite the wet weather, the singer, 24, seemed in good spirits as she headed to the match.

She teamed her coat with skinny black jeans, boots and a quilted shoulder bag.

Perrie’s efforts were rewarded with Alex’s team winning 2-1.

She and Alex had enjoyed a cosy New Year’s Eve together last night but the footballer was forced to go to bed early in preparation for today’s game against Burnley.

Perrie, 24, shared a picture of the two cuddling on a bean bag in front of the fire, looking lovingly at one another.

She wrote: “Happy new year from us! Mr Professional over here went off to bed ahead of his game tomorrow… the OJ musta been too much! Me however… on the champs celebrating a great year!  “What a year you were 2017! 2018 I’m ready for ya! 😍”

The couple’s relationship is going from strength to strength – Perrie recently watched Alex play against Leicester at Anfield and the couple shared photos of their blissful first Christmas Day together.

The celebrity lovebirds both posted similar pictures of them sitting together in front of the tree, surrounded by presents.

In the pic, Alex is sitting on top of a wicker hamper, beaming at the camera, with his version of the snap seeing Perrie cuddled up into his lap.

Perrie’s version of the photo sees her beaming lovingly at her Liverpool football player beau.

In a sweet message to her fans, she wrote alongside the pic: “Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa was generous! I got exactly what I wanted… and I’m staring at it 👀❤️

“Wishing everyone health, happiness AND LOVE! Feeling forever grateful! ☺️ oh and YES that’s hatchi on my pj’s. @alexoxchamberlain you da BESTEST! 😍”

The loved-up couple have been enjoying spending time together as Perrie takes some downtime from her Glory Days world tour with the much-loved girl group.

The love birds have been dating since January although Perrie lives in London while  Alex has relocated to Liverpool to play for the famous club.

While the distance could prove too much for many, Perrie said she’s not worried about it.

“I don’t think it will be difficult. It’s going to be different – but that’s not a problem,” she told The Mirror.

“We’ll be fine. I’m just really happy for him and very proud.

“I’m based in London, so I’ve got no plans to move up there.”
