Ant McPartlin’s wife ‘happier living apart’ from I’m A Celebrity star as it’s revealed he has asked a divorce

ANT McPartlin's wife Lisa Armstrong has reportedly told pals she is "much happier" now the couple live apart.
The couple have been together for 23 years and married for 11 years but there are now fears their marriage is over after Ant moved out of their £6m West London home to give each other breathing space.
Make-up artist Lisa is said to have been left emotionally drained by Ant's public battle with painkiller addiction according to the .
A source told the newspaper that Lisa had been "weighted down"; by the stresses of the year adding: "But it’s obvious she’s been so much happier since they’ve been living apart – especially when he flew to Australia to film I’m A Celebrity.
“In November, when Ant was out of the country, she had some real breathing space and could just get on with her life and career.
“She started to feel stronger – like her old self again. She’d been moody and snappy but when he moved out she changed overnight... a different woman."
The source also said that it doesn't mean that Lisa has given up on fighting for her marriage, instead she just doesn't want to go back to the way things were.
However, The Sun revealed today how Ant has told Lisa that their marriage is over.
Ant, 42, who has battled prescription drugs addiction, has told Lisa, 41, their 11-year marriage is over but she has not agreed to an official statement.
A source close to the telly host said: “Ant and Lisa are definitely over. He sees no way back for their marriage.

“Lisa has been struggling to accept it is the end. It is all very sad, especially with all she has gone through this year.
“She was clinging to the hope they could work things out.
"Ant wants to announce it in an official statement in the new year and both try to move on. But Lisa has not agreed to this yet.
“No one else is involved and they are still on friendly terms. But they are both devastated.”
Saturday Night Takeaway host Ant went to rehab over the summer after a botched knee operation left him in such pain he became addicted to prescription painkillers to deal with it.
