Davina McCall reveals she’s back in the gym after Christmas as she poses in a crop top with her injured finger
DAVINA McCall isn't sitting around the house gorging on sweet treats in the lead up to the New Year - she's already back in the gym.
The ex-Big Brother host - who recently revealed she had split from husband Matthew after 17 years - was all smiles as she enjoyed a workout with her pal Sarah earlier today.
Davina posted a pic of herself and Sarah, which also revealed that she had injured her middle finger and it now looks like she's "constantly being rude" to people.
She captioned the picture: "It was raining ☔️ and yucky and I thought I know what I need ... I need a little ray of sunshine 🌞 @sarahblendfit thank you 🙏🏻 holly loved it!!!! #tonedin10 #fitness #motivation!"
The snap comes after Davina - who showcased her toned abs in a skimpy crop - said she doesn’t care about "losing her allure".
In a candid interview, the presenter added that she thinks "women don’t care if they appeal to men" and feels that at 50 she's going through a rebirth, thanks to the menopause.
She told former Glamour editor Jo Elvin and co-host James Williams on the podcast Is It Just Me?: "It is like a rebirth, the menopause.
"It’s a weird thing where women go, 'what do I want?'.
"We’ve been selfless, we’ve looked after other people.
"Women think 'I want to feel amazing in myself, and I want to be the version of myself I can be'....
"Whereas guys think, 'Am I losing my allure? Where am I going, what’s my job?'. That’s a mid life crisis for a guy."
When challenged on why she focuses so much on working out and physical strength, she jokingly added: "I do do other things!"
But the TV star, who is bringing out a new DVD called Toned In 10, then went on to boast that she'd been for a run that day and it pepped her up, saying: "I just felt good about life."
Davina - who ditched her wedding ring at the start of the month - recently posted a heartfelt message to those feeling lonely at Christmas on Instagram.
She said: "I think it’s one of those days isn’t it?
"Where, sometimes even if you’re in a huge group of people it’s quite possible to feel lonely or if you’ve lost someone you really care about, and this is your first Christmas without them, or if you couldn’t get home to your family.
"Anyway, I’m sending everybody a great big Christmassy hug.
"It’s only a day, and if you are feeling terrible, cuddle up with a duvet, make yourself some food as that’s a nice act of self-love, and go watch some funny Christmas films."
