Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell brave the waves at the beach in St Barts with his daughter and grandchildren
The Beatles legend, 75, is keeping lively on his family's luxury festive getaway and looked fighting fit as he jogged across the beach
SIR Paul McCartney showed he's fighting fit at 75 as he hit the beach in St Barts with his family yesterday.
The Beatles icon pulled on a wetsuit top and swimshorts and went for a swim with wife Nancy Shevell and his grandchildren.
He raised his arms aloft and let the steady waves lilt over his chest, while his grandkids laid on bodyboards.
Back on dry land, Paul went for a jog across the sand, quickly drying off in the process.
Nancy put on a summery yellow cover-up and threw a ball around on the beach with her son Arlen Blakeman from her marriage to ex Bruce Blakeman.
She chased her son around with a smile on her face as he clutched the American football.
The American heiress showed off her own throwing skills as she launched the ball through the air.
In addition to Arlen, the couple have been joined in the Caribbean by Paul's daughter Stella, 46, and her children.
The downtime comes after a milestone year for the star, who celebrated the 50th anniversary of Beatles anthemic album, St Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
However, the legendary band was nearly never meant to be – as Paul had previously revealed he almost QUIT the band that made him famous.

In the Nineties, around the time of Sgt Pepper’s 30th anniversary, McCartney went further: “We were fed up with being Beatles. We really hated that f***ing four little mop-top boys approach.
“We were not boys, we were men. It was all gone, all that boy s***, all that screaming, we didn’t want it any more.
“Plus, we’d got turned on to pot and thought of ourselves as artists rather than just performers.”
Lennon explained the narcotic influence like this: “We didn’t really shove the album full of pot and drugs, but there WAS an effect.
“We were more consciously trying to keep it out. You wouldn’t say, ‘I had some acid, baby, so groovy’. But there was a feeling something happened between Revolver and Sgt Pepper.”
