KATIE Derham has been crowned this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
The TV newscaster, who previously starred in series 13 of the festive favourite, paired up with Brendan Cole once again and danced their way to victory.
The pair performed a festive themed routine, the couple performed an enchanting Viennese Waltz routine to Otis Redding track, White Christmas.
In the one-off special, the studio audience voted the couple the champion after their snow-globe inspired routine won them over.
They were given an impressive 37 out of 40 for their performance by the judges ahead of the audience vote.
Kimberley Walsh and Pasha Kovalev beat them to the top spot in the judges eyes with a jive earning them 39 points.
Following their performance, Craig Revel-Horwood praised the pair and said: "It was a classic Viennese - full of sophistication. Gorgeous."
After being announced the winner, Katie said: "Oh my goodness! I'm so stunned. So stunned. I thought any of these gorgeous people were going to win. Not us. It feels fantastic!"
Fans were overjoyed at seeing the star return to the dancefloor, and were stunned by her elegant routine.
One wrote: "I’ve just watched Katie Derham dance on again and she was even more beautiful and elegant and gorgeous on that dance floor than I remembered. I need to lie down and die of feelings. 🎄💃🏻"
Another added: "Forgot how much I loved Katie😍😍 such a gorgeous dancer "
While a third echoed the sentiment and said: "Oh Katie and Brendan, that was just lovely (p.s. I need the dress. Ta everso) 💃🏼❄️"
She was joined on screen by a string of other fellow competitors who were trying their luck for the trophy one more time after being knocked out in their previous seasons.
Representing the girls on the series were Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, who performed a Jive by Run Run Rudolph by Kelly Clarkson, and Judy Murray from season 12, who danced a Charleston to Let’s Misbehave by Trevor Ashley.
Series three star Colin Jackson performed a Rumba to Run by Leona Lewis, while football pundit Robbie Savage opened the show with an American Smooth to Bublé’s Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).
Jeremy Vine, who took part in the 2015 season, returned to form with a Quickstep to All I Want For Christmas Is You, and was reunited with partner Karen Clifton in the process.
Fans of the show threatened to have their Christmas viewing spoiled after an online site leaked the results shortly after the show was aired - giving away the scores as well as the eventual winner.
