Great British Bake Off winner Sophie Faldo admits pals may have placed bets knowing she’d won
The ex-Army officer said that with at least one hundred people know who wins before the show is aired, some 'will sneakily place a bet'
BAKE Off star Sophie Faldo’s friends and family may have placed bets knowing she had won, she admitted yesterday.
Sophie said contestants’ guests at the pre-recorded final cashed in.
The ex-Army officer, 34, may face a ticking off as everyone has to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Sophie, of Surrey, made her admission after judge Prue Leith’s pre-show tweet in which she let slip Sophie’s success.
She said: “One hundred or so people already know because contestants invite friends and family to the picnic. Some will sneakily place a bet.”
Love Productions, who make the Channel 4 hit, said it had received no proof of confidentiality breaches but would take any evidence “seriously”
