Ryan Thomas shares incredible throwback picture of baby-faced Jennie McAlpine and the Coronation Street cast
RYAN Thomas took fans on a trip down memory lane with a throwback snap of the Coronation Street cast.
The actor appeared to be reminiscing on the good old days after posting a baby-faced snap of himself and his former co-stars, including Jennie McAlpine, on Instagram.
The image showed Ryan posing on the steps of a caravan alongside cast members Jennie (Fizz Brown), Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs), Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor), Andrew Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) and Claire Jackson (Toyah Battersby), who goes by the stage name Georgia Taylor.
"Old school. @alanhalsall @samia_longchambon @jenniemcalpine Andy W & our Claire love you all lots guys," he captioned the funny snap.
"OMG old classic Corrie love it!" one fan enthused.
"Oh wow, that's going back a bit isn't it brilliant," another commented.
Now 33, Ryan was just 16-years-old when he made his debut on the soap on Christmas Day back in 2000.
He made the decision to quit the show last year in order to seek new opportunities and landed a role on Aussie soap Neighbours in October.
Speaking about his exit at the time, Ryan confessed: "I wanted a complete change after leaving Coronation Street. My agent’s in London, my meetings are there and many of my friends, too. I’m also going to do some drama classes there.
"I’ve only ever had one job. I need to start from the bottom and start learning my craft. I want to be tested and taken out of my comfort zone.
He added: "I need to do auditions and be rejected for roles – rejection is so much part and parcel of this business, but I’ve never experienced it.”
But Ryan remains the only baby-faced youngster in the snap who has left the soap, with the rest of the group still enjoying their fair share of explosive storylines.
Georgia - who plays Toyah Battersby - left the show in 2003 after six years, but returned in 2016.
