BAKE Off fans are in for a festive treat as the star trio of Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins reunite on screen for a Christmas special.

When is Mary, Mel and Sue's Big Christmas Thank You on TV?

The winning trio of Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins is back together on our BBC screens for a festive special which airs tonight (Sunday, December 24) at 7pm on BBC One.

It goes up against Dad's Army on BBC Two, All Star Musicals on ITV and The Muppet Christmas Carol on Channel 4.

If you miss the hour-long show, it will be repeated on Boxing Day morning and will also be available on the BBC iPlayer.

Director of BBC content Charlotte Moore said it was a privilege to be working on the "comeback show" of "three of the most talented women on British television".

What does the Christmas special involve?

The former Bake Off stars head to South Wales to prepare a seasonal surprise for some hard-working volunteers at a community centre.

Mary Berry prepares a special Christmas feast for the residents while Mel and Sue help to give the centre a much-needed makeover.

The BBC said the unnamed area of south Wales had "experienced some tough times" but residents had worked together to open a community centre after their post office and the local school closed.

They said the centre became a "lifeline" and, with the help of volunteers, had become "the beating heart of the community".

What have Mary, Mel and Sue been doing since they quite The Great British Bake Off?

The stars have been busy since they decided not to move with the show to Channel 4 along with Paul Hollywood.

Mary Berry has been loyal to the BBC for many years and has since launched her own series, Mary Berry Everyday and Country House Secrets.

Mel and Sue are due to present a revival of the popular family show, The Generation Game as well as continuing with their own TV and theatre projects.
