MEL B’s Christmas plans have been left in tatters by bitter ex STEPHEN BELAFONTE.
The former Spice Girl – who saw her divorce from the film producer finalised last week – was hoping to spend the festive season in Leeds with her family and three daughters.
But the plan was scuppered after Stephen, who shares custody of daughter Madison, refused permission for the six-year-old to leave the US. And my sources claim this also dashed her plans to meet with the other Spice Girls on December 21 to discuss their reunion.
One said: “The divorce may be done, but the bad blood is still there. Stephen is refusing to give her permission to take Madison to Leeds for Christmas, with her other kids, Phoenix and Angel.
“There’s no way Mel would go without Madison.
"And she can’t fly her family out to LA as many have other commitments over the festive period.
"It has also caused problems because she was planning to meet the other Spice Girls in London before going to Leeds.”
The source went on to claim Stephen, who will earn millions from his divorce, is “hell-bent” on making Mel’s life a misery.
They revealed he has even threatened to haul her into court again after an accounting issue delayed payments from her.
Mel is clearly well shot of him.
War over Vardy's
REBEKAH and JAMIE VARDY have a bidding war after two TV channels approached them to do their own reality show.
ITV and Channel 5 are both keen on signing the couple for an At Home With The Vardys-style show.
My source told me: “Rebekah got the nation talking with her no-nonsense attitude on I’m A Celeb, and bosses think she’d be great for a fly-on-the-wall series.
“And while she appeals to female viewers, Jamie would get guys tuning in.
"They are big personalities and aren’t shy about saying what they think. And with two channels interested, the money could be considerable.”
But TV chiefs may have their work cut out in signing Rebekah.
My source added: “She was taken aback by some of the negativity she faced coming out of the jungle.
"It’s made her extra cautious about doing reality TV. So it will have to be a fantastic deal to tempt her.”
Fingers crossed it will happen. While the Vardys aren’t quite the KARDASHIANS, they could be a ratings hit.
Camila belle of the Ball
CAMILA CABELLO looked red hot as she took to the stage to wow fans at the Jingle Ball this weekend.
She stole the spotlight by performing in a festive outfit of red corset and braces, white shirt and black hotpants for the concert in Atlanta, US.
And if she was bothered by the not-at-all-awkward decision to schedule her former bandmates Fifth Harmony on the same bill, she didn’t show it. Her show came little more than a year after the girls performed as a five-piece at the Jingle Ball in Dallas.
But that probably feels like a lifetime ago to Camila, who has since managed to rack up one of the best singles of the year with smash hit Havana.
Maybe, in the spirit of Christmas, her ex-bandmates ALLY BROOKE, LAUREN JAUREGUI, DINAH JANE and NORMANI KORDEI decided to congratulate her backstage.
But on the other hand, maybe not.
Roman ruins it for Rocco
MADONNA’s son Rocco Ritchie is devastated after his latest girlfriend dumped him – and started dating Capital DJ ROMAN KEMP instead.
Rocco, whose dad is filmmaker GUY RITCHIE, was given the elbow by singer and model CHANTELLE LEE recently. And sources say he has been “in pieces” since the split.
But while Rocco was licking his wounds, Chantelle didn’t hang around. She was spotted on a date with Roman – the son of SPANDAU BALLET star MARTIN KEMP – at London’s Soho House on Friday.
A pal told me: “Chantelle was fed up with Rocco’s reluctance to commit, and despite him being older than her she found him immature.”
Now it’s bitten the dust, he probably wishes he had waited longer to introduce her to dad Guy.
Idris hitched again riddle
IDRIS ELBA is at the centre of a marriage riddle – months after he swore off walking down the aisle again.
I revealed in September that the British actor was dating actress and model SABRINA DHOWRE, who was crowned Miss Vancouver in 2014.
Now TV presenter MAYA JAMA has posted a photo on Instagram of her and boyfriend STORMZY with the couple – and referred to Idris’s girlfriend of ten months as his “wife”.
A source said: “It could just be a slip of the tongue but it’s possible that they could have got wed in secret.”
After revealing their romance I warned Sabrina not to book a church after twice-divorced Idris was quizzed about the chances of going down on one knee again.
He said: “Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don’t think so.
“Marriage is an institution of sorts, and I’ve done it. It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.”
If they have wed, hopefully it’s third time lucky for Idris. His first marriage to make-up artist Hanne Norgaard – mother of his teenage daughter Isan – ended after four years in 2003.
And six weeks after tying the knot with property lawyer Sonya Hamlin in 2006, they split. Last year he split from girlfriend Naiyana Garth, the mother of his year-old son Winston.
Last night reps for Idris did not respond for comment.
The happy couple stepped out in London last night but Sabrina failed to flash a diamond.
Maybe it’s still winging its way over on Santa’s sleigh.
Sex And The City let down
SEX And The City actress SARAH JESSICA PARKER disappointed charity bosses after she pulled out of EVA LONGORIA’s Global Gift Gala in Dubai last weekend.
That is despite organisers having auctioned off lucrative meet-and-greets with her. I hear Jessica backed out after learning she wasn’t going to be paid for her appearance.
But organisers of the gala, which has previously attracted the likes of VICTORIA BECKHAM, insist it was due to an “unforeseen scheduling conflict”.
A source said: “They felt very left down when she cancelled.”
Hadid she do that?
HERE’S GIGI HADID doing her best Walk Like An Egyptian pose – and in a sequined gold dress slashed to her thigh she looks a right sphinxy minx.
The US model was posing for fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier to appear on the cover of Vogue Germany.
At Milan Fashion Week in September, she modelled Versace pieces from past and future collections.
