Rylan Clark-Neal announces he’s taking a break from This Morning next year

RYLAN Clark-Neal has announced he's taking a break from This Morning.

The television presenter has hosted the showbiz segments of the ITV morning show since 2014 but revealed on today's show that he will be leaving his role, but insisted "it's definitely not goodbye."

He told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "I've not really said anything but after Christmas, next Friday, I'm going to be going away for a little bit."

He added: "It's definitely not goodbye but I'm going to be taking a little bit of a break for a little bit in the new year.

"But I just want to say thank you because it's been lovely and I will be back. I will be back."

He later joked: "I'm going to be a florist with ELizabeth from the Apprentice."

Viewers were left devastated by his shock announcement.

One wrote: "@Rylan where are you going?! You cant leave #ThisMorning!!"

Another said: "Hes not doing this morning for a while! Im gutted. I Love @Rylan."

Other viewers didn't know what they would do without Rylan in their lives of a morning.

"Why is Rylan leaving This morning I’m so sad and it’s not right he will be so missed," asked one.

Another tweeted: "@Rylan what the hell am I going to do with my life when you take a break from @thismorning? Won’t be the same without you. All the very best, you lovely, lovely man you."

Another tweeted: "@Rylan so going to miss you on @thismorning you make my day brighter. Good luck in whatever you are going on to do, I know you will grand."
