Rylan Clark-Neal announces he’s taking a break from This Morning next year

The show's showbiz reporter won't be returning as a regular face after Christmas

RYLAN Clark-Neal has announced he's taking a break from This Morning.

The television presenter has hosted the showbiz segments of the ITV morning show since 2014 but revealed on today's show that he will be leaving his role, but insisted "it's definitely not goodbye."

Rylan is taking a break from This Morning in the new year

He told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "I've not really said anything but after Christmas, next Friday, I'm going to be going away for a little bit."

He added: "It's definitely not goodbye but I'm going to be taking a little bit of a break for a little bit in the new year.

"But I just want to say thank you because it's been lovely and I will be back. I will be back."

He later joked: "I'm going to be a florist with ELizabeth from the Apprentice."

Viewers were left devastated by his shock announcement.

Another said: "Hes not doing this morning for a while! Im gutted. I Love @Rylan."

Other viewers didn't know what they would do without Rylan in their lives of a morning.

"Why is Rylan leaving This morning I’m so sad and it’s not right he will be so missed," asked one.
