LOUISA May Alcott's classic book Little Women has been brought to life on the small screen again this Christmas on the BBC.
But who is in the cast? And when is it on? Here's the lowdown...

The BBC have pulled together an all-star cast - here’s who’s in it:
Michael Gambon - Mr Laurence
The Harry Potter actor is taking on the role of the family neighbour Mr Laurence.
Michael, 76, is well known for this role as Professor Albus Dumbledore in the final six Harry Potter films after the death of previous actor Richard Harris.
Angela Lansbury - Aunt March.
Murder She Wrote’s Angela Lansbury plays Aunt March.
The award-winning 91-year-old is best known for playing fictional writer and sleuth Jessica Fletcher in Murder She Wrote.
Emily Watson - Marmee March.
Emily has been cast as the matriarch of the family.
She is best known for The Theory of everything, The Appropriate Adult and War Horse.
Maya Hawke - Jo March
Maya is playing the feisty Jo.
She is the daughter of Hollywood stars Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke and this is her first big acting gig.
The actress revealed that her famous father visited her on set when they were filming the series in Ireland.
Jonah Hauer-King - Laurie Laurence
Jonah will play charming boy next door Laurie.
He is known for who appearing in TV mini-series Howards End.
Dylan Baker - Mr March
Dylan, who starred in The Good Wife and The Americans, is playing Mr March, the army chaplain who’s called away to war, but is a doting father to the girls.
Julian Morris - John Brooke
Pretty Little Liars star John Brooke is Laurie Laurence’s earnest and intelligent tutor, John.
Mark Stanley - Professor Bhaer
Broken star Mark is Professor Bhaer, a sensitive literary man caring for his two orphaned nephews.

When will Little Women air on TV?
Little Women started on BBC One on Boxing Day at 8pm and will air on three consecutive nights.
The novel is being brought to the small screen by Call The Midwife creator Heidi Thomas.
It is directed by My Mad Fat Diary’s Vanessa Caswill and produced by Playground, the company behind TV shows Wolf Hall and The Missing.

What is Little Women about?
Loved by generations worldwide, Little Women is a truly universal coming-of-age story, as relevant and engaging today as it was when originally published in 1868.
Set against the backdrop of a country divided, the story follows the four sisters Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy March on their journey from childhood to adulthood.
With the help of their mother Marmee, while their father is away at war the girls navigate what it means to be a young woman - from gender roles to sibling rivalry, first love, loss and marriage.
