Rochelle Humes reveals the ‘heartbreaking’ reason she is now going to wear her hair in natural curls
ROCHELLE Humes has revealed she'll no longer straighten her hair after her daughter criticised her own curls.
The Saturdays singer, 28, was left heartbroken when Alaia-Mai, four, told her she couldn't be a princess because they only had straight hair.
In an emotional Instagram post, she wrote: "#GoingBackToMyRoots 🌀My four year old little girl Alaia has been telling me for a while that she doesn't like her curly hair, at first (as us Mums do) I didn't think it was a big deal.
"Once I realised this wasn't a phase I asked her why she didn't like her curls.
"It broke my heart when she told me it was because she didn't look like a Princess, and I quote 'I don't Mummy because Elsa and Rapunzel have long straight hair'.
"It then dawned on me that maybe this issue started closer to home because, all she has ever known is her Mummy to style her hair straight, when in fact mine is naturally curly too.
"So moving forward into the New Year I've decided to finally embrace everything that make me ME.
"She is already over the moon that we have 'matching hair'!! My curls are a far cry from what they used to be but, I'm hoping with less heat and a little TLC they will come back to life. So this is for you Alaia-Mai, Mummy's hair IDOL "

The singer-turned-presenter's followers were supportive of her decision, telling her that she looked beautiful with both straight and curly hair and praised her as a mum.
Last month Rochelle responded to criticism after she revealed she once sucked snot out of her daughter’s nose when she was a few months old.
Appearing on Radio 5 Live's mum's take over, alongside the likes of Stacey Solomon, Giovanna Fletcher and Neev Spencer, she recounted the story to a studio full of guests.
Explaining that it’s sometimes hard to know what is best as a inexperienced mother, she said: “I recently had a bit of a backlash, because – I didn’t Instagram the moment – but I did share the tale on my story.

“I’d just been through a really… interesting evening, it was about two/three am and she was so bunged up.”
The singer and presenter has two young daughters with husband Marvin, eight-month-old Valentina and Alaia-Mai.
