Amir Khan screams ‘I’m going to die’ as he’s reunited with the snake from his nightmare Bushtucker Trial – and can’t believe how small she is
AMIR Khan screamed tonight as he was reunited with the snake that had him yelling “I’m a celebrity get me out of here” during his Bushtucker trial.
The boxer shocked viewers when he wimped out of his first challenge Critter-cal Rescue after accidentally grabbing the snake, resulting in him being heavily mocked on social media – and three weeks later he’s still just as terrified.
While appearing on Extra Camp, Collette, his snake nemesis was brought on to set and the 30-year-old immediately jumped out his seat and squeezed himself in between Joe Swash and Joel Dommett.
He yelled: “Agh! No, no, no! No come on man, give us a break man.
“Help me, I’m doing to die!”
However during his panic, Amir had failed to hear the fact that it wasn’t just any snake, but the snake from his nightmare trial, and was embarrassed at how small she actually is.
He exclaimed: “It was the same size as that? That’s the one?
“I came back and them it was this big, everyone was walking around saying, ‘Amir’s pulled a python.’”
As he began to calm down, he decided to brave holding the little snake.
He asked: “I’ve never, ever done this in me life. Is it gonna bite?”
The holding Collette and giving her a small kiss, he added: “He’s the first snake I touched and he’s going to be the last snake I touch.”
Following Amir’s jungle drama, viewers were left convinced that he was playing his snake fear up for the cameras, however the Team GB star’s pal Nabil Ditta further backed his claims by revealing a snake once caused him to postpone an entire workout while training for a fight.
Nabil told The Sun: “We went jogging in San Francisco and ran through a park when Amir saw a snake.
“He did a U-turn and cancelled the whole session there and then. It took him three weeks to be persuaded to take the same to route again.”
Nabil added Amir even refuses to take his daughter Lamaisah to the reptile section of a zoo.
He said: “He’s too scared to go through there.”
