I’m A Celebrity’s Dennis Wise claims he was edited to look like a ‘bully’ on ITV show and says friendly scenes with Iain Lee were not screened
The former footballer says scenes of him hugging and even kissing Iain were not show on TV
DENNIS Wise has claimed he was edited to look like a ‘bully’ during his time on I’m A Celebrity.
The former footballer claims that scenes where he and Iain were chatting, hugging and even kissing were not shown.
He continued: “My relationship with Iain is fine. I am not a person who likes bullying. I am a person who says what I think and I am working from a competitive angle. I have always been in this team element.
“Iain knows the situation and Iain is comfortable with it. Iain has spent time on his own when he needed to. You don’t hear everything or see everything.”
Dennis previously said he was “shocked” to discover that viewers felt he was bullying Iain - after he told Iain he shouldn’t do a Bushtucker trial, in case he failed, because he wasn’t good enough.
In an interview with Good Morning Britain, Dennis even revealed plans for the pair to meet up back in the UK.
He confessed: “I was shocked. I have got tickets for him and his kids to go to Chelsea.”
He continued to insist they were in fact good pals as he dished up details of their off-camera conversations and added: “We are going to his new talk show, then all of us are going to go to Amir’s boxing in February, when he’s got his first fight.
“And I am going to meet (Iain) in Gerrards Cross where his mum is in a care home.”
Dennis, who was a hero among Chelsea fans in his football heyday, even went as far as to name the restaurant they would be eating in afterwards – contemporary brasserie Wildwood.
With a serious expression, he continued: “I am a little bit shocked at what’s happened.
“We got on very well.”
