BOXER Amir Khan donated part of his I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! fee to charity before entering the jungle.
The star is thought to be the highest ever earner raking in a whopping £300,000, as revealed by the Sun’s Bizarre column.
At the other end of the spectrum is Made In Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo who is trousering a mere £13,000 for the three-week stint.
Olympic silver medallist Amir, 30, gave a substantial amount of the huge fee to charity Barnardo’s which he is a brand ambassador of.
Barnardo’s chief executive, Javed Khan said: “I am very grateful to Amir Khan for this fantastic gift and his continued support as an ambassador for Barnardo’s, which helps thousands of vulnerable children, young people, carers and parents every year.
“It’s exactly the generosity of people like Amir that make it possible for us to provide our network of vital services across the length and breadth of the UK. We wish Amir well in the jungle and will follow his progress.”
Amir’s fee is thought to have eclipsed the previous highest earner Katie Price who was paid around £250,000.
Toff, 23, is believed to be the lowest ever paid celebrity - even below what they gave relative unknowns Joel Dommett, 31, and Jordan Banjo, 24, last year.
A jungle source said: “Georgia has been gold from the start this series but ITV bosses have got her for a bargain price.
“She’s way out in front in terms of the bookies’ tip for a winner, and looks set to win if she keeps things up.
“She jumped at the chance to go into the jungle and producers didn’t need to throw much money at her. Compare her to Amir’s fee and they’ve got her for a snip.
“He’s the highest-earning contestant ever, even eclipsing what they paid Katie Price. But Toff is the one providing all the entertainment.”
