Shirley Ballas admits her future on Strictly Come Dancing is in doubt after admitting she hasn’t received another contract yet

SHIRLEY Ballas has revealed she doesn’t know if she will be returning to Strictly Come Dancing next year.

The champion ballroom dancer made her debut on the show as the head judge this year but, although she is keen to return, she admitted she is yet to find out.

Speaking on This Morning to Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, she said: “We haven’t finished the season yet.

“I have had the most spectacular time. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of being on the show.”

But throwing doubt on her return, she added: “As of yet nothing has been decided yet.”

And when Eamonn told her he hoped she would be back, she admitted: “So do I!”

According to a Strictly insider the judges don't find out their fate on the show until next year.

Ruth and Eamonn then asked her give herself a score out of ten as she does to the dancers on the show.

Shirley, who's judging came under fire after Aston Merrygold lost his place on the show, said: “I would score myself a seven. There is room for improvement.”

The star went on to admit that she very nervous when she first started on the dance show after taking over from Len Goodman.

She said: “I think I am quite a perfectionist and quite tough on myself.

“When I had to judge the first show it was terrifying. You want to do right by the people who have worked hard all week.”

“I don’t think I was fully aware of what I was getting into,” she admitted when asked if she knew just how popular the show is.

This weekend Shirley will judge the semi-final of the show but refused to say  who she thought would make it to the final, saying: “I would not like to predict”.
