Kerry Katona claims Atomic Kitten are over for good and will never perform again – but band hit back and say ‘no we just dumped you’
The ex band member made the claims in a bizarre Instagram rant
KERRY Katona has claimed Atomic Kitten are over for good and that she wasn't kicked out - despite the band saying they're still together and have gigs lined up next year without her.
The singer - who was a founding member of the chart-topping band - was booted out after she slammed her bandmate Natasha Hamilton as a "toxic c***" during a foul-mouthed nightclub appearance.
But now panto-star Kerry is claiming the band is over for good - despite claims by her other bandmates.
"I'm very proud to be a part of Atomic Kitten," Kerry said in a bizarre Instagram rant.
"No-one will ever take that away from me. I was never, ever kicked out of the band.
"The three of us all decided to knock it on the head as we have so much more lined up separately and as individuals next year which we all want to concentrate on."
However, a spokeswoman for Natasha previously told The Sun Online: "Atomic Kitten have gigs lined up middle of next year."
She added: "Natasha is in Kay Mellor’s new theatre show Fat Friends until April and Liz is in Elf until early next year so they can’t do their normal Xmas Atomic Kitten shows."
Panto fans watching Kerry in Sleeping Beauty in Middleton have revealed how the star looked humiliated having to sing the band's biggest hit Whole Again, despite her leaving the band before the song was a hit.
Speaking to The Sun Online, they said: “Kerry put on a great show but she wasn’t too enthusiastic when it came to singing Whole Again.
