I’m A Celebrity’s Kezia Dugdale blames Dennis Wise’s ‘rage’ on ‘hanger’ and says he’s not coping well without food
I’M A Celebrity’s Kezia Dugdale has blamed Dennis Wise’s rage during last night’s episode on ‘hanger’.
The former footballer surprised viewers yesterday when he told Iain Lee that he shouldn’t do the trial because he failed the two previous ones - which led to those watching him at home accusing him of bullying.
And politician Kez believes his reaction was so strong because he is struggling with the lack of food.
Speaking on Extra Camp, the Scottish star said: “Dennis is a lovely guy but of all the people left in there I think he is the one struggling with the food the most now because he is so skinny.
“He’s quite OCD about food whereas Toff will eat every last drop out of everyone else’s tin, Dennis won’t put it in his mouth unless he has washed it himself.
“He’s struggling food wise in there and that’s probably why the hanger is coming out.”
During last night’s episode, which saw Stanley leave in a shock move, Iain and Dennis came to blows over who would do the trial.
As Iain put his case forward, Dennis jumped in and told him: “My only problem and I’ll be honest with you Iain, is that you’ve said ‘Get Me Out Of Here’ twice and what I don’t want to do is we have no dinner and so….”
The row continued for some time and perhaps realising he had gone too far, Dennis decided to defend his comments.
He said: “Maybe it came across in the wrong manner, I didn’t want to be rude about it.
“I tried to say it as it was and that was nothing malicious or nasty or whatever, I just said what I said.
“He was trying to make me feel bad about it.”
During her appearance on Extra Camp, Kezia, 36, also revealed that the campmates were rewarded with extra treats, which isn’t shown on camera.
She revealed: “Everybody has got their chores to do like doing the cooking and if you did it all bang on for three days in a row you got a treat which was tea, coffee and maybe a biscuit.
“Starbucks it was not, we were still drinking it out of the pot we cook our meals in. It was pretty rough.”
