VANESSA White has revealed that the iconic I’m a Celeb jungle shower was freezing cold and covered in leeches – leaving her not willing to wash.

The Saturdays singer, who was eliminated from the show on Tuesday night, admitted that she wouldn’t wash up to three days at a time to stay away from the dreaded chill and bloodsuckers.

Putting an end to the jungle shower’s iconic status, Vanessa revealed to : “The shower is not glamorous – it is freezing cold.”

“It is raining and there are leeches all over the floor,” she added. “You just don’t want to get bitten.”

Admitting that medic bob encouraged everyone to wash once a day, Vanessa admitted she refused.

“The thought of getting out of your clothes and being wet and then getting rained on and maybe leeched on, is not appealing,” she told them.

“So I did go three days without washing a lot of the time.”

Vanessa’s revelation has come shortly after Scarlett Moffatt revealed that she was forced to wash by the medical team when she took part in 2016.

Scarlett, who is now hosting spin-off show Extra Camp, revealed that she initially refused to face the jungle shower.

When co-host Joe Swash, who has also taken part on the show, then admitted that he “didn’t wash his body, let alone his clothes”, Scarlett topped him with the grossest confession yet.

“I had to get told by Medic Bob to go in the shower!”

Joel Dommett then grossed out as he said: “Imagine being medically told to have a wash!” to which Scarlett quipped back: “Hey, don’t judge!”

Footballer Dennis Wise, who is currently still on the show, has been among the people who have been complaining about the hygiene of his jungle campmates.

He told the Bush Telegraph: “Everyone has their own hygiene level and this morning Jamie and I went off to have a shower.

“After a couple of days it can really start to chuck up at bit to be honest.”
