THIS Morning suffered a technical glitch today as they failed to show the opening titles.
Presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were caught off guard as they went live sooner than expected after their new festive titles were cut off and the screen went black.
Realising what had happened, Holly gasped: "Oh my god, they're our special Christmas titles, where have they gone?!"
Shocked, Phillip revealed that it was the first time that had ever happened, before joking that it was lucky they weren’t picking their noses or doing anything embarrassing.
Holly suggested singing to entertain the viewers as they waited for the title music to end.
Those watching at home were equally as bemused by the gaffe and took to Twitter to comment on it.
One person wrote: “The opening titles failed on #ThisMorning. Just waiting for aliens to do a transmission like in 1977 on the news 😏😳.”
While another remarked: “What a c**k up on #ThisMorning ..” and someone else wrote: “Someone pulled the plug, result #thismorning.”
The gaffe comes after Phil had a very “rude” outburst on yesterday’s show – leaving Holly shocked.
The presenters were taking part in a Christmas segment looking at gifts for men when they were shown a game called Who is the Dude?
The charades-based game featured a blow up man doll and their co-star Steve Wilson gave them some examples of how it works.

As he moved the dolls arm around in a circular motion, he asked what he was, and Phil replied: "Clock!"
But looking stunned, Holly gasped and asked: "What did you say?"
As the crew laughed behind the camera, Phil shouted "Clock" again as she bent over and got the giggles, clearly thinking he had said something much ruder.
Holly then stood back up but covered her face with her hands as Phil laughed and said: "Did you think I was resigning live on television?"
Blushing, Holly replied: "I wasn't sure!"
