I’m A Celeb’s Amir Khan admits he doesn’t remember his daughter’s birthday
AMIR Khan has revealed that he can’t remember his own daughter’s birthday during a heart-to-heart on I’m a Celebrity.
The soon-to-be dad-of-two was having a chat with fellow campmate Jennie McAlpine when he revealed that his memory is so bad he can’t remember the important date.
Asking Jennie if she missed her son, Arthur, the pair sparked a conversation about their kids back home.
Amir, who has a three-year-old daughter, Lamaisah, with wife Faryal Makhdoom, admitted that he wasn’t even sure where in the world his family currently was.
He told her: “My little girl is so far away, I don’t know if she’s in the UK or US, my wife is from New York.”
“They were in the UK but she was saying to me she might go see her Mum and Dad,” he added. “And I said she should and take the little one also.”
However, Amir hit a stumbling block when asked about his youngster’s age by Jennie.
“She’s 3” replied Amir. “She’s turned 3 already?” asked Jennie.
At which point Amir confessed: “She’s 3, turning 4 in a couple of months, oh no, er, the summer, June 23 I think.
Lamaisah was actually born on May 24, 2014.
He then defended his bad memory and said: “I don’t remember my own birthday, I forget.”
Jennie later said in the Bush Telegraph that Amir "isn't fully there" and forgets people's names and days of the week.
Meanwhile, back at home, Amir’s wife Faryal reunited with her in-laws after a tricky few months saw the couple threaten each other with divorce.
Model Faryal – who is currently expecting her second child – was seen looking happy alongside Amir's cousin Haroon and parents Sajjad and Falak as they watch the boxer in I'm A Celebrity in a video for BBC Manchester.
The turnaround in the family dynamic is stark when compared to how it was in August, when Amir and Faryal's marriage looked all but over.
In a shocking Twitter feud Amir announced their break-up, claiming his wife of four years had cheated on him with heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua.

His family then told The Sun online how they were “hugely relieved” he ended it.
Hours later, Makhdoom claimed her Twitter account had been hacked and deleted all trace of the row on her Twitter - except two tweets directly to Khan in which she branded him a "cheater".
They have since reconciled and it has been reported that the pair are planning on renewing their wedding vows as they look forward to the arrival of their second child together.
