CORONATION Street star Catherine Tyldesley has quit the hit soap, show bosses have confirmed.
The stunning actress will leave next summer and has arranged her exit with ITV bosses, the Sun’s Bizarre column can reveal.
She has quit the soap in order to pursue other acting working - including serious dramas.
Catherine, 34, said: "Coronation Street has been a dream job for me which is why this was such a difficult decision to leave.
"Eva has been such fun to play over the last seven years, and who knows, one day she might storm the cobbles of Weatherfield again.
"In the meantime I’m excited about the future, new acting projects, and spending time with my family."
She is the latest star to quit Corrie after the Sun revealed her onscreen partner Shayne Ward is to leave the show in an “explosive” storyline.
Her role as barmaid Eva Price has made the nation fall in love with the blonde beauty and a household name.
In August 2014 she announce she was going to take maternity leave whilst pregnant with her first child and left the show in February 2015.
She returned to filming in July 2015 and Eva returned to scenes in September 2015 where she became involved in a relationship with Shayne’s Aidan Conner.
A Coronation Street spokesperson said: "We can confirm that Cath Tyldesley will leave Coronation Street at the end of her current contract next year after seven years in the show.
“Cath's portrayal of Eva Price has made her a firm favourite amongst fans and she will be missed.
“The producers and writers are currently working on her exit storyline which be on screen in early summer."
