Amir Khan’s best mate of 10 years reveals his shock at him stealing the strawberries and blames it on him being ‘a joker’
AMIR Khan’s best friend has revealed his shock at his strawberry theft – and admits that the boxer often makes jokes without thinking of the consequences.
In an interview with The Mirror, Nabil Ditta said Amir will soon be feeling “so guilty” over him and Iain Lee stealing their hungry campmates’ strawberries.
He said: “I’ve known Amir for the last 10 years thing is with Amir, he’s a bit of a joker and sometimes he’ll do a joke and he won’t take the consequences until after it and feel really bad.
“You’re probably going to see a big change in him in the next few days, he’s probably going to feel so guilty that he’s going to turn the camp upside down to make it right.
“The few times he’s played jokes on me, like we’ll be travelling and he’ll hide my passport and I’ll be like, ‘Where’s my passport?’ and a few hours later he’ll say, ‘Here it is’ and I’ll be like, ‘Bruv that’s not funny.’
“Then all the plane, the eight, nine hour journey he’ll apologising to me about, saying ‘I feel so bad, I’m sorry I stressed you out.’
“There have even been times when I’ve been trying to phone Emirates to change my flight because I can’t find my passport or my wallet.”
Despite being aware that his pal loves a joke, Nabil is still baffled as to why he did it.
He continued: “Maybe he thought the camp’s a bit dead and he wants to spice it up, maybe he’s a big fan of strawberries.
“It doesn’t make sense to me, it’s completely out of character.”

While Iain said he was tempted, he didn’t know if he had it in him to deceive his fellow celebrities.
But Amir added: “Are we eating them or not, I’m having them, I want them, I want to eat them now.”
The men then looked at their prize, and before Iain could do anything, Amir had poured the cream over them and they started to tuck in.
After hiding the plate behind a tree, Iain said: “This is the worst thing we’ve ever done.”
