I’m A Celebrity’s Amir Khan and Iain Lee win immunity from eviction a day after strawberry-gate – but fans think it’s a ‘fix’

AMIR Khan and Iain Lee will survive the first I'm A Celebrity public vote after winning immunity from eviction.

But viewers were immediately suspicious at the pair's selection as it came a day after the pair ate the camp's strawberries and cream in what's become known as 'strawberry gate' after the Dingo Dollar Challenge.

One fan tweeted: " Does anyone find it suspicious that both Iain and Amir have got immunity from eviction, right after StrawberryGate? #ImACeleb."

Another added: "Both Iain and Amir, by complete chance, get immunity after , defying odds that would bankrupt William Hill? Yeah right, producers."

A third added: "Amir and Iain the first two to have immunity hmmm suspicious I think they was def told to eat strawberry’s to get immunity first."

The boxer and radio host are guaranteed to at least make it through to the second round of voting after their faces were revealed on the immunity wall.

Meanwhile, many fans were simply outraged that the pair hadn't got their just deserts.

One viewer wrote: "So #AmirKhan & #IainLee, the infamous strawberry snatchers, are the two camp mates with immunity! "What are we teaching the next generation...that crime pays?"

The pair's luck is ironic following the stunt they pulled last night.

Viewers were so shocked at their selfishness, they struggled to believe it could be genuine, and some felt the only explanation could be that they had been asked to do it by the crew.

But, proving that the show isn't a structured reality programme like Towie, an insider told The Sun Online: "It was absolutely not a 'stunt' or set up and you'll see the drama continue in tonight's show."

Their fellow celebs were just as stunned with Dennis Wise unable to hide his disgust.

On tonight's show, Amir and Toff made their way to Snake Rock clutching their immunity key.

Once there they were delighted to discover a luxury forest camp already set up for them. The fire was lit, there were two beds made up with pillows and towels next to a hot and cold shower and a wall of framed portraits featuring the Fright Club logo.

While they were trying to work out what the Fright Club was and why they were members, a telephone in their camp rang and Toff went to answer.

They were told: “Welcome to Fright Club, there are 11 locked picture frames and over the next two days there will be various opportunities to win keys to unlock them and reveal pictures of the campmates.

They randomly picked a frame and revealed the face of Iain. “He won’t be happy about that he wants to go home,” said Toff. “He wants to go but you know he’ll have to stay,” said Amir.

Later in the episode Dennis Wise and Vanessa White took part in another challenge in which they earned a key to unlock another face on the immunity wall - with Amir's face revealed.
