Jack Maynard exposed for joking about rape in latest series of deleted tweets from disgraced I’m A Celebrity star
DISGRACED I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star Jack Maynard has been exposed for joking about rape in a series of deleted tweets.
The vlogger, 23, was axed from the jungle last week after The Sun revealed he had begged a 14-year-old fan to send him nude photos when he was 16.
Now it has emerged the YouTube star, who has a big audience with young girls, said he would “rape” anyone who helped him get more Twitter followers.
The full post, sent on November 11, 2011 when Jack was 16, said: “If you get me to 1500 followers by tomorrow… I will kiss you……. Most likely rape you though.”
In another tweet, from earlier in the same year, Jack replied to a fan simply adding: “I raped her... haha.”
The Sun understands that Jack, who now has more than 1.2million subscribers on his YouTube channel, only deleted the offending tweets after a young fan aged just eight told him to.
A source said: “These tweets really are unforgivable from Jack.
“To joke about such a serious subject shows a real lack of awareness from him, particularly given the fact so many of his fans are impressionable young girls.
“He cannot use age as an excuse either. It doesn’t matter how old you are when it comes to joking about rape.
“He only deleted the tweets after a young girl, who was aged just eight at the time, messaged her hero asking him to take them down.”
The new revelations come after The Sun told how Jack has been deserted by a number of High Street brands after a flood of allegations came against him.
Big names including The Body Shop, Walkers and Snickers are cutting off lucrative sponsored content.
Jack's deals with Cadbury, Puma, Nike, Schwarzkopf and LG also now hang in the balance.
The 23-year-old was forced to apologise after we revealed he had made homophobic and racist online comments.
