The Walking Dead’s Lennie James reveals his character Morgan will crossover into Fear The Walking Dead next season
The actor made the announcement yesterday after months of speculation and is starting work on it today
THE Walking Dead’s Lennie James has revealed his character Morgan will be crossing over into Fear The Walking Dead.
After months of speculation on who would be making the move, the actor surprised fans on Talking Dead – revealing he’s starting filming today.
He said: “I am speaking to you from Austin, Texas.
“I start shooting tomorrow morning. Yes! And I only just finished shooting a week ago in Atlanta.”
Lennie admitted that it was hard to leave The Walking Dead, for what will now be his third break from the franchise.
“From the very first moment that the whole suggestion of Morgan, my character, going over to Fear The Walking Dead, the hardest part of it from beginning until now has been leaving The Walking Dead. Leaving that cast, leaving that crew,” he said.
Fear started in 2015 as a prequel to Walking Dead and follows two families at the outset of the zombie apocalypse, while Walking Dead is about the survivors.
The show’s creator Robert Kirkman first revealed there would a crossover earlier this year.
He said at the time: “I think that we’ve finally gotten to a place with Fear the Walking Dead where it has its own identity where we can play with some things.
“So what I’m going to say, and this is all I’m going to say, is that there are two Walking Dead shows. I’m not going to name them. But there are two. There’s one character that is going to go from one show that I will not name and appear in the other show, which I will not name.”
It’s thought it will focus of Morgan’s “lost years” as the actor was not in the second and fourth season of the show.
