JESY Nelson has revealed that her gruelling tour schedule with Little Mix left her on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
The 26-year-old star has been working non-stop alongside her bandmates – but has revealed in intimate detail for the first time how close she came to giving up.
Speaking to , Jesy reveals that she was left crying on her bedroom floor as she struggled to pack for her Glory Days world tour and feared she needed help as she struggled to cope with the pressure.
She told them: “I was looking at all of my suitcases on the floor and burst out crying. I was like ‘I can’t do this’.”
“Literally, I nearly had a breakdown,” she admitted. “Like ‘I need help. I just want to be home’.”
Jesy also revealed that her bandmates – Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – feared for the security of their band if they were to take time out.
She said: “In the pop industry, it’s hard to pause. With pop music if you go missing for more than a year, they’ve forgotten about you.”
But the price of fame has come at a cost – and during the chat, bandmate Jade admitted that even though they all own their own houses now, they’ve never been able to sleep in them.
Their never-ending tour dates has not gone unnoticed by their fans – who started a string of hashtags online including #GiveLittleMixARest after they noticed their health was deteriorating.
This included Jade not being able to sing at the band’s Nottingham concert after being put on voice rest, but still performing the dance routines with the band regardless.
