From fake tan to a lilo – what did the I’m A Celebrity stars get in their care packages?
Being 9,420 miles away from home, the I’m A Celebrity campmates needed something to perk them up
Being 9,420 miles away from home, the I’m A Celebrity campmates needed something to perk them up
THEY’VE been slumming it in the jungle for six days but, last night, the I’m A Celebrity campmates were each given a luxury item to help make them feel at home.
Stanley Johnson: A lilo
The former Tory MEP enjoys long, leisurely naps in the camp, so what could be better than inflatable to lie upon?
Stanley admitted to his co-stars that he had considered getting a wheel of cheese flown over but instead opted for the rubbery luxury.
As he held his new bed in his hands, Stanley beamed at his campmates before warning them: “It's not for sharing.”
Dennis Wise: A tub of moisturiser
Former Chelsea star Dennis may have been pre-warned about what the Australian weather could do to his perfect skin.
His luxury item ended up being a moisturiser to help keep his complexion in perfect condition.
Dennis grinned as he opened his care package, no doubt knowing he’d have the other campmates asking to borrow a little for their own faces.
Shappi Khorsandi: Slices of bread
A woman after our own hearts, Shappi asked her family to send her over some of her favourite bread.
To make it even more luxurious, they also packed peanut butter and honey for her to make a bizarre sandwich.
The comedian told her family at home: “I love you! My family nailed my food.”
Amir Khan: Snickers bars
The boxer had something else to scream about last night, when he realised he’d been sent a load of his favourite chocolate bars.
His wife Faryal Makhdoom also sent Amir a sweet picture of his young daughter.
Rebekah Vardy: A customised pillow
She couldn’t hold back her tears when Iain Lee passed her the enormous package sent to her from Leicester.
Holding up a pillow, which was covered in pictures of her family, Rebekah said through her tears: “I can smell my husband.”
Vanessa White: Chocolate
Just like Amir, the Saturdays singer chose a sweet treat for her luxury item in the jungle.
Her tears wouldn’t stop after she opened the parcel, which also contained a picture of her sister.
Jamie Lomas: An eye mask
The Hollyoaks actor knows the value of getting some decent shut eye and so decided to have something to help him get even more sleep.
As his campmates get woken up by the bright light of dawn, Jamie’s eyes will be covered with a mask that smells like lavender.
Jennie McAlpine: A picture of her late dad
She broke down in tears earlier this week when speaking about how proud her late dad would be of her going into the jungle.
And emotions were running high again last night, when Jennie’s care package included a snap of the man she called her best friend.
The Coronation Street star also received a message from her husband and young son, along with a cuddly monkey to sleep with.
Jennie said of her treats: “I was an emotional wreck.”
Georgia Toffolo: Fake tan
The Made In Chelsea star couldn’t hide her joy when she was given a bottle of bronzing lotion.
Holding it triumphantly, Georgia: “Pale Toff is no more!”
Iain Lee: A disposable camera
Latecomer Iain wants to make sure he remembers every second of the time he’s in camp.
But even though the whole film is on film, he asked for a disposable camera to take snaps behind the scenes.
Kezia Dugdale: Nothing
The labour MP was left crestfallen when she found out she would be getting nothing.
Her failure in a task earlier in the day meant she got nothing.
Although she’s only been in the jungle for two days, it was still tough for Kezia who later explained she was feeling “slightly jealous”.
We’re sure Dennis will share some of his moisturiser with her…
