KIND KHAN

Stanley Johnson tears up as Amir Khan gives him his meal ticket so he doesn’t have to eat rice and beans

STANLEY Johnson couldn’t hide his emotions as Amir Khan gave him a meal ticket in tonight’s I’m A Celebrity.

Yesterday the former MEP refused to take the same off from Shappi Khorsandi’s but couldn’t turn down Amir who insisted he eat something more than rice and beans.

The sweet gesture happened after Amir was victorious in the Flushed Out challenge, following his failure in the first trial on Monday.

Walking into the camp with an extra meal ticket, he told Stanley: “I think Stanley…I think a meal ticket would look good with your picture.”

Although he tried to protest, Amir wouldn’t take no for an answer and made him take the offer.

Stanley later appeared to become emotional at his gesture.

He said: “I know. I don’t deserve it.

“Shappi tried to give me one last night.

“And then Amir come back brandishing a meal ticket and hands it to me and says he want to give it to me and I’m touched beyond belief and I shall do my best to deserve the honour.”

At the end of the evening, Stanley and Shappi joined Toff, Jennie, Vanessa and Becky for dinner in Snake Rock as the rest of the campmates chowed down on rice and beans again.

It wasn’t all tears for Stanley in tonight’s episode however, as he had fans in hysterics thanks to a misunderstanding during the Dingo Dollar challenge.

When asked a series of questions about his co-stars by Georgia Toffolo, Stanley became confused between polenta and placenta – much to viewers’ amusement.

The show was rocked tonight by the news Jack Maynard had quit, with fans of the show stunned by the revelation.
