I’m a Celeb’s Amir Khan praises family life with Faryal Mahkdoom and insists he’s putting split behind them – amid rumours he’s ‘having an affair’
AMIR Khan has said that things are back on track with estranged wife Faryal Makhdoom - despite rumours he's actually having an affair.
The boxer and his wife, who have three-year-old Lamaisah together, were involved in a serious war of words across this summer, only to shock fans by announcing they were giving their romance another go.
Now Amir - who is currently appearing in I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here - is insistent that he's working on his relationship with his wife, who is currently expecting their second child.
Speaking to before entering the jungle last Sunday, Amir said: "It was all just nonsense really; nonsense from the start.
"And then we both sat down and through, look, we've got a family. We've got a little girl. Faryal's expecting, so we have to think of the kids."
The star went on to add that the reconciliation and the new addition to the family is helping him become more motivated and work harder than ever.
"You always make mistakes in life," he said. "I'ts about coming through them - and not making those mistakes again."
The interview with the magazine comes just 24 hours after it was reported that the professional sportsman is actually "having an affair" with a model - and asked a single mum-of-one for x-rated pictures shortly before going into the jungle.
The boxer, 30, urged Emma Bond, 27, to send him X-rated videos after finding her on Instagram back in August.
He also bombarded her with messages asking to come to her home, and suggested booking a hotel for a tryst.
Over several weeks he begged to meet and asked her full name and home town. Emma refused, making Khan sound more desperate.
On October 14 he told her he had finished a relationship and was looking for “more action”, and on Monday November 6 he told Emma he was in Manchester.
When she asked if Khan was around that weekend he replied “Ok”.
But instead of keeping his date he posted a photo online cuddling Faryal — mum to their three-year-old daughter Lamaisah — on a sofa.
He wrote: “With my 4 month pregnant wife, after sorting out all the issues. Closing the year with a happy ending.”
Sources close to Khan say he had also started spending time with Pakistani model Alyzeh Gabol, 23, soon after he and Faryal split.
And one source said: “Amir has not ended things with Alyzeh. Over the past four months he has been to Pakistan to see her on at least four occasions, and they have also met up at least once in Dubai.
“They were together just last week. Amir might say he is committed to the reunion with Faryal, but it’s all about the money for him.
“Before they reconciled, Faryal had grown so desperate for him not to divorce her that she agreed to ‘give him space’ when he isn’t at home with her.”
Khan had earlier said: “Me and Alyzeh met weeks after me and Faryal decided to leave each other. People are saying the reason I left Faryal was for her, but it’s not true. I respect Alyzeh and I think it’s best to keep her out of this drama.”
