Amir Khan faces another Bushtucker Trial on I’m a Celebrity after failing miserably in first trial with Georgia Toffolo
AMIR Khan was given a rude awakening on last night’s I’m a Celeb after being voted for his SECOND Bushtucker Trial.
The boxer held his head in his hands as he was chosen to taken on the new trial – called Flushed Out – after he pulled the plug on his first, leaving his camp mates on basic rations.
Ant and Dec broke the news to him at the end of tonight’s episode, which saw him squeal and run from the first challenge Critter-cal Rescue, leaving Georgia Toffolo in a makeshift grave filled with termites and a number of creepy crawlies.
He had crawled into a chamber to retrieve keys to unlock “Toff”, 23, who was locked in a box underground.
Explaining the snake incident to Ant and Dec, he said: “When I put my hand in I thought it was a rope I pulled it out.
“I’ve never screamed so much in my life and I’ve been punched in the face, I was screaming.”
Amir, who says he has never watched the show before, said: “I feel bad for the team because I really wanted to get some meal tickets but I just had to give up, it got so hard.”
As fans of the show flocked to Twitter to mock the “wimpy” 30-year-old boxer, one social media detective discovered he doesn’t actually mind snakes… as long as they’re in the hands of a gorgeous blonde model.
Tweeting a picture of Amir posing next to a model holding a large snake user @emmielauren wrote: “s*** scared of snakes aren’t u amir babe xxx #imaceleb”
Back at the camp, Stanley Johnson appeared to be forming the camp’s first odd friendship of the series with YouTuber Jack Maynard.
The 77-year-old former politician was left stunned as he quizzed the young star about vlogging.
He later suggested that he “apply” to be one himself – not realising that YouTube was accessible for anyone to upload.
Meanwhile, Jennie McAlpine broke down in tears at the pain of missing her son.
The 33-year-old Corrie star has a little named Albert who turns three next week and was left feeling emotional following a conversation with comedian Shappi Khorsandi.
However, she later gave the camp a much-needed boost alongside Dennis Wise and Rebekah Vardy after they won their first Dingo Dollar Challenge -earning biscuits from Kiosk Keith.
In order to complete the challenge, the trio had to simply spin a wheel in a bid to land it in a “win” segment three times – but every time they failed, they were dunked into water.
When the camp correctly guessed that the UK preferred a cup of tea over a date, the trio came home victorious with the treats.
- I’m a Celebrity continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1, followed by Extra Camp on ITV2.
