A source close to Ms Dugdale told The Sun: "She didn’t go into the specifics of it being I’m A Celebrity".
New Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard said he was “disappointed” by news of her upcoming appearance and .
His spokesman added: “Ms Dugdale did not inform Mr Leonard that she was going to be on I’m A Celebrity. If she had done so, he would’ve made it crystal clear that it was the wrong thing to do.”
Kezia is in a relationship with an SNP politician
Jenny Gilruth is a Scottish National Party MSP for Mid Fife and Glenrothes who was elected to Holyrood in 2016.
She began a relationship with Kezia Dugdale in 2017.
Ms Gilruth was born in Fife and studied sociology and politics at the University of Glasgow.
She worked as a teacher before she stood for election.
Kezia's dad also supports Scottish independence
Kezia's father Jeff supports Scottish independence — which is against Labour's policy.
The retired teacher, who lives in Moray, campaigned to break up the United Kingdom during run-up to the Scottish Referendum in 2015.
Kezia campaigned for Scotland to stay in the UK in line with Labour's position.
Kezia is not a fan of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn
Kezia backed Owen Smith in the 2016 Labour Leadership campaign when he stood against Jeremy Corbyn.
Earlier, she had called for Corbyn to resign as leader after a massive vote of no confidence by Labour MPs against him.
It is believed that friction between her and Corbyn contributed to her decision to step down as Scottish Labour Leader in August 2017.
