Who was the actress' husband Terence Beesley and how did he die?
The Extras star was married to fellow thespian, Terence Beesley. The London-born star was, 60, when was found unconscious at their property in Camerton, Somerset.
An ambulance arrived at the property within 10 minutes of a 699 call, but the actor did not survive. It has now been confirmed the cause of death was suicide.
A spokeswoman for the star, who appeared in BBC drama Love, Lies and Records, said: “Ashley is devastated and respectfully asks for privacy at this extremely sad and difficult time.”
Terence was famous for his role in 1989's The Phantom of the Opera, and more recently he appeared in ITV's Victoria and the BBC's The Musketeers.
He was also a director, and had even helmed a short comedy which starred his wife in 2010, Sunshine.
How did Ashley and Terence meet?
The two actors met in 1999 while working on a stage production of King Lear; both Terence and Ashley began their careers on stage.
After six years together, the couple tied the knot in a ceremony in California on January 29, 2007.
The two were living in America at the time due to Ashley's work on Ugly Betty.
Ashley and Terence have one son, Francis Jonathan Beesley (also known as Frankie), who was born October 20, 2009.
Following their move stateside the couple and their son moved back to England, to Somerset.

Ashley, 48, was born August 11, 1969, and is a Scottish actress and narrator.
She shot to stardom when she co-starred alongside Ricky Gervais playing the hapless Maggie in BBC show Extras.
After this, the roles started to pour in.
Ashley became known across the globe when she joined the cast of hit TV series Ugly Betty from 2006 - 08.
She then made the switch from TV to film and has starred in many movies including Nativity, Gnomeo and Juliet, The Lobster and Arthur Christmas.
Ashley is also the narrator of Channel 4's Embarrassing Illnesses and Embarrassing Bodies.
More recently she played Agatha Raisin in the TV adaption of the detective books and also starred in hit show Catastrophe.
Ashley is now starring in BBC One's Love, Lies and Records.
