How much do the stars of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! get paid? Salaries of this year’s cast revealed

I’M A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’s biggest stars are pocketing up to £250,000 for their stint in the ITV jungle – but lesser known names will receive just a tiny percentage of that sum.

TV insiders have claimed the top earners on the show frequently command fees of up to a quarter of a million, with Katie Price understood to have been the jungle’s all-time top earner after banking around £400,000.

But lesser known stars will receive around ten per cent of that, at approximately £25,000 for their stint.

Amongst the biggest names signed up to appear this year when the show launches on Sunday are boxer Amir Khan, who is already a millionaire, and wealthy politician Stanley Johnson, the father of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and minister of state for universities and science Jo Johnson..

But lesser known names including YouTube blogger Jack Maynard are expected to be at the lower end of a sliding scale, which sees every member of the camp paid totally different sums based on their fame.

A source said: “There’s a very wide range of payments on the show, and every year some of the top names bag themselves around £250,000.

“This year Amir and Stanley are probably the biggest names, along with Jennie off Coronation Street. But the pay scale slides all the way down to about a tenth of that.

“The least known stars tend to get somewhere around the £25,000 mark.”

Bosses always remain tight-lipped about the fees paid to stars.

Some of the pay packets earnt from last year were leaked with former Countdown star Carol Vorderman thought to have earned the most of all the contestants, pocketing £200,000.

Comedian Joel Dommett, who will present this year’s spin-off show Extra Camp – with winner Scarlett Moffatt – and Diverstiy’s Jordan Banjo.

They were both thought to be the lowest earners at about £25,000.
