Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd reunites with ex-fiancee Lauren Shippey and their two children at Christmas event – despite dating new girlfriend Hanni Treweek
CORONATION Street star Jack P Shepherd put on a show of family unity with ex fiancee Lauren Shippey and their two children as they got into the festive spirit in Manchester.
The actor, who The Sun exclusively revealed had split from his girlfriend of 15 years in October, has since been spotted on loved-up dates with Hanni Treweek, who also works on the ITV soap.
Yet it was a case of putting his family first for the Weatherfield stalwart, who beamed with delight at a festive bash at Gordon Riggs garden centre this weekend.
Jack - who plays troublemaker David Platt in the long-running drama - looked chuffed as he posed for a picture with the shop's staff.
His daughter, Nyla, and son Reuben, aged three, both children with Lauren, stood next to their mum at the front of the image for the Christmas lights switch-on.
Reuben, who was born in 2013, clung onto the pole with the button to make the boutique dazzle as he became excited about the event.
A fan, eager to capture the moment on Twitter, uploaded a shot of the action and wrote: "What a gentleman with a lovely family @JackPShepherd88 thanks for officially starting Christmas @gordon_riggs was a pleasure to meet you."
Jack and Lauren, both 29, got together aged 14.
Lauren threw him out in 2011 when a DNA test revealed he was dad to a baby boy after a one-night stand with sales executive Sammy Milewski.
But Jack successfully begged her to take him back. He gave her a £3,000 engagement ring.
At the time a friend said: “Lauren understands Jack made a terrible mistake. Now he has made the ultimate statement that he wants to be with her for the rest of his life.”
A spokesman said in a statement: “Jack and Lauren remain the best of friends and their main focus is the care of their children.”
Meanwhile, The Sun Online exclusively revealed the pair's acting company will continue to run despite their relationship drama.
They set up the popular 13 Performing Arts School and the thriving concern lays on classes in Manchester and in Jack’s home city of Leeds – with the actor personally giving budding thespians lessons.
And they have also launched 13 Red Management so they can pick the cream of the crop from their theatre schools and land them roles on the stage and in telly.
A source told The Sun Online: “It is full-steam ahead with the business interests despite the break-up."
