Piers Morgan spends £500 on posh lingerie for wife Celia Walden
PIERS Morgan admits he has a special "lingerie account" for his wife Celia Walden and often forks out £500 for a pair of her designer knickers.
The Good Morning Britain host made his confession on today's ITV show during a debate about whether plus sized clothing should cost more.
Panellists Lizzie Cundy and Josie Gibson sparked a furious debate about shoppers being forced to pay extra for larger garment sizes, with radio broadcaster Lizzie insisting the boosted price tag was necessary because of the extra fabric used.
Piers, who lives in London with his author wife, chipped in to the conversation and said: "I have an extensive lingerie account for my wife.
"She is very grateful for it.
"It's incredibly expensive - she buys a pair of skimpy knickers and they are like £500."
He left co-host Susanna Reid and the show guests stunned as he added many of the racy garments were from high-end retailer Agent Provocateur.
The plush brand is renowned for its raunchy attire and barely-there lingerie, playsuits and sex toys.
He continued: "I have bought enough lingerie in my time.
"For a large amount of people."
He later admitted it was "curvy" women that catch his eye and he hugely disagreed with the over-priced clothing.
Earlier in the show, Piers left fans in hysterics as he revealed his festive album - Morgan's Merry Christmas.
Celia started going out with 52-year-old former newspaper editor Piers in 2006, while he was still married to first wife Marion Shalloe.
They wed in 2010 in Swinbrook, Oxfordshire, around the time Piers was presenting Britain's Got Talent.
She and Piers have a five-year-old daughter called Elise, who is Piers' fourth child and only girl.
In a column, Celia previously revealed that she asked Piers which of her friends he would sleep with if she gave him a "hall pass".
