Ant McPartlin looks healthy and tanned as he sunbathes by the pool on his first day back in Australia for I’m A Celeb
The telly favourite has flown Down Under for a new stint in the jungle - marking his big comeback after entering rehab for addiction earlier this year.
ANT McPartlin is looking well on the way to being back to his best as he looked tanned and relaxed by a pool in Australia.
The telly favourite, who has just completed a two-month stay in rehab for prescription painkiller addiction - joined his pals to relax by the pool ahead of starting work on I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
I'm a Celebrity will be the star's first appearance back on screen since entering rehab, and marks a return to form for the star after going public with his demons.
But ahead of the show's hectic schedules, Ant and Dec, along with Dec's wife, hit the poolside for a day of rest and relaxation.
Already looking tanned after less than a day in the sun, Ant looked healthier than he has in months as he donned a pair of bright yellow swimming trunks to lounge on a sunbed.
The 41-year-old has been praised by his fans for his recovery, and when he was seen boarding the flight to Oz on early Saturday morning, happily posed for pics with bestie Dec with his fellow travellers.
After arriving in the Outback, Ant, Dec and Ali were seen heading out together to grab some essentials for their month-long stay.
Dec beamed alongside his wife and best mate as they were seen leaving the store, while Ant kept himself under cover in a baseball cap and shades.
The pair proved to be living a healthy lifestyle as they were spotted ignoring the junk food in exchange for fruit, bran cereal and Ryvitas for the duration of their stay.
In a world exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, the presenter revealed how he was rushed to hospital at 5am after an "insane" pills binge.
The emotional star said: "I was at the point where anything - prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs - I would take.
"And take them with alcohol, which is ridiculous. The doctors told me, 'You could have killed yourself.' "
He has now praised the "brilliant" NHS doctor who saved him from the painkiller addiction in an exclusive interview with The Sun's Bizarre Column.
The star's descent into dangerous prescription drugs came after he damaged his knee in 2014, then had a botched operation on it the following year.
Since leaving rehab, Ant has moved into a house a few streets away from his wife Lisa.
A friend said: “Ant is spending time apart from Lisa — he’s said he needs space and everyone respects that.
“They are effectively leading separate lives while he re-evaluates everything.”
