Katie Price and Chris Hughes set to come face to face today for first time after public feud
LOVE Island star Chris Hughes and Loose Women's Katie Price are set for an awkward reunion at an event tonight.
The pair are down to turn up at today’s ITV Gala in London, the Sun’s Bizarre column can reveal.
It will be the first time they have come face-to-face since their explosive spat over flirty messages sent to each other.
An insider said: "They haven't seen each other since their very public spat.
“It's going to be one of the most awkward encounters in the history of showbiz.
“Hopefully they keep their cool for the sake of the event.”
The pair’s row began after Chris left Love Island and appeared on Loose Women and Katie, 39, admitted she fancied him.
He later revealed the former Page Three model had been sending a series of flirty messages.
Chris, 24, posted the texts on Twitter with the caption: “Okay sweetheart. Being pied shouldn't make you bitter."
He told his fans: "A message from another female who went out her way to get my number from someone, then messaging me, is flirty."
She responded by saying he had been speaking to her via Snapchat – something he always denied.
They included one describing girlfriend Olivia Attwood as "fame hungry", and another saw him call the model a “lovely person”.
Last month Katie showed the messages to the Sun which sparked Chris into a furious and vile rant in which he called her a “piece of s***”.
He said: “I couldn’t give a s**t who I offend anymore. I stand on my own and always will. I don’t need to people to get me. Katie Price you’re a piece of rotten s**t.
“I couldn’t give a f**k about you. Be a mother, be something respectful for everyone’s sake.
“I showed your true colours, you couldn’t live with it. You have 52 screenshots on Snapchat since I humiliated you? Comical.
“I’ve got my whole account history from Snapchat and [a] media lawyer will f**k you up. No one deserves your s**t, and I ain’t one to take it. You f**k lives. You have MY number, you can see I haven’t sent you s**t. You’re washed up and you stink.”
