VICTORIA Beckham has posed in pyjamas on her old bed as she returned to her childhood home in Hertfordshire for a new Vogue shoot.

The Spice Girl was pictured sitting in her former bedroom at the house she grew up in as part of a new spread for the fashion Bible.

She has joined a list of stars who were chosen by the magazine's new editor Edward Enninful to feature in his historic first issue.

Victoria, 43, was one of five stars from the British fashion scene who followed back to the places that made them.

The mother-of-four returned to her family home in Hertfordshire and appeared to be snapped on her old bed.

Victoria was happy to slip off her high heels and get into cosy pink two-piece as she perched on the bed for the stylish photograph.

Victoria was photographed by Paul Wetherell wearing a pink check pyjama two-piece from her Resort 2018 collection.

In a chat with the magazine, the star spoke about her fashion choices growing up and admitted the only time she ever wore "inappropriate" clothing was when she was in the Spice Girls.

She said: "Did I look inappropriate ever? Not until the Spice Girls. My mum would never let me go out dressed like that."

She went on to recall her most "hideous" Spice Girls outfit - an all-gold outfit she wore to the American Music Awards in 1998.

Victoria claimed all the girls looked like "men in drag."

Victoria Beckham quizzed about being a Spice Girl by adorable little girls

She said: "There's one that was the most hideous - we went to the American Music Awards and we looked like men in drag.

"We had so much make-up on, it was unbelievable. I look back at the pictures and I'm like, "Woah!" We took the layering of make-up to a whole new level...

"I used to experiment a lot when I was younger and I look back, [from] when I was in the Spice Girls, at some of those looks.

"Do I cringe? A little. But I think it's great to experiment and try new things."

But there was one pop star look she didn't hate.

She added: "When I was pregnant with Brooklyn, we did a video called Goodbye. I had really short hair.

"That was quite nice - natural make-up."

She also credited her family with giving her the confidence to follow her dreams.

The former singer said: "My family brought me up telling me I could achieve absolutely anything...

"My Mum and Dad used to really give me a lot of confidence, I believed that I could achieve anything."

"The support of my family has always been incredible. Whenever I said that I can't do it my Dad just wouldn't hear it."

"'What do you mean you can't do it, why can't you do it?'," she recalls him saying. "And I do that to our children as well. I've never been the sort of person to give up."
