LAUREN Goodger is planning to get her own back on Lucy Mecklenburgh – by targeting her new boyfriend on I’m A Celebrity, it has been claimed.
The Towie star will reportedly seek revenge on her former love rival Lucy over her fling with Mark Wright back in 2011.
Lucy and Mark got together after Lauren and Mark had broken up – and Lauren was left so furious, she’s never forgotten it.
Lauren – who’s single again after splitting from boyfriend Joey Morrison in the summer – plans to go down Down Under and make a play for Lucy’s new beau, Ryan Thomas, who’s also rumoured to be joining the I’m A Celeb line-up later this month.
A source told Closer magazine: “Lauren’s never got over Lucy’s ‘affair’, as she called it, with Mark, and has held a grudge ever since.
“As soon as she saw Ryan was rumoured to join her in the jungle, she saw it as an opportunity to give Lucy a taste of her own medicine.
“She’s got no serious plans to steal Ryan, but she would like Lucy to realise how humiliating it felt for her when she was linked to Mark.”
Meanwhile, Lucy’s romance with former Coronation Street star Ryan seems to get be getting serious – she’s reportedly met his nine-year-old daughter Scarlett from his relationship with Tina O’Brien.
Mark – who’s now married to actress Michelle Keegan and working in Los Angeles on US TV show Extra – has previously revealed he split from Lauren after she was seen kissing another man in a nightclub.
He told the : “I was away in Marbella when I heard the claims that she’d cheated on me.
“Loads of my friends were in the club that night. I came out of a meeting and I had seven missed calls. I knew something had gone on. But I didn’t ask the details, I didn’t want to. I went out to the pool and I just cried.
“Then I rang her from Marbella and I told her I had heard what had happened. She denied it, but I don’t believe my friends would lie to me.
“And later I saw pictures of her sitting on his knee, smiling like she didn’t care.
“I talked to my mates… I always have to talk to my mates. Arg (best mate James Argent) and I love a chat, we call it an ‘emosh’. We go round my house, we put music on, we talk about our feelings. We are so close.
“She was a massive part of my life. I will love her probably until the day I die, but I cannot get back with her.
“The thing was we loved each other, but we never, ever got on. We argued every single day – especially when she’d had a few drinks – but the love was so strong, it kept us going. And I gave her the commitment she wanted. Since I have been engaged to her, I haven’t cheated on her once.
“But eventually I realised that love is not enough. We had everything. We had a nice flat, we went on lovely holidays. We went to Spain and then Vegas and still it didn’t work. I just couldn’t make Lauren happy.”
