Ant McPartlin’s wife Lisa hints at her continuing love for the troubled presenter as she steps out wearing her wedding ring after retweeting fan montage
ANT McPartlin's wife Lisa has given the strongest hint yet that she's determined to make the couple's marriage work by stepping out wearing her wedding ring.
The pair, who have been together for 23 years, are reportedly fighting for their future following Ant's decision to seek help for prescription painkiller and alcohol addiction.
Lisa has remained silent on her marital woes and was recently pictured without her wedding ring.
But this weekend she put on a defiant display as she stepped out with the band clearly visible on her left hand.
She was seen leaving the couple's home with a suitcase and a make-up kit before driving to the ITV studios.
The outing comes after she retweeted a fan montage video showing some of the couple's best moments.
The caption accompanying the video read: "Lovely Couple 💑 @antanddec @lisaAmakeup (sorry, this is my first time sending this video because this video so lovely) 😘☺️."
Fans left messages of support for the pair, who are set to be apart in again in two weeks time, when Ant jets to Australia for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
They wrote: "Lovely couple. Brought tears to my eyes. 💗
"Beautiful couple, wishing you both strength and love always. The journey can sometimes be turbulent but your love will win xxx.
"Video is beautiful. Hard times stay strong Lisa xxx.
"You are made for each other."
Ant recently returned from rehab in the US and is reportedly staying in a rented house near his £6million marital home in a bid to save his marriage.
The bearded presenter, 41, was spotted visiting the couple's West London pad on Friday to collect their dog Hurley.
Shortly after he left, Lisa emerged from the house and drove away in a people carrier.
"They both looked really sad. I feel so sorry for them both. They look like they're having such a hard time.
"She looked like she had the weight of the wold on her shoulders as she walked through the park. She genuinely looked upset. It was very sad."
The Sun Online has contacted a representative for Ant for comment.
Earlier this year Ant admitted he had put his wife "through hell" after he became dependent on booze and prescription drugs after a botched knee op left him in agony.
He has praised his wife for coping “brilliantly” during his time in rehab but admitted the situation would put a strain on any relationship.
Ant told The Sun: “I’ve put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression and how it affects you.
“I’m very sorry about the effect it has on partners. This kind of stuff puts strains on any marriage.
“In hindsight, I should have mentioned it earlier but you’re embarrassed about it.”
And when asked if the couple’s marriage would emerge unscathed from his troubles, he said: “All I can say at the moment is that she’s been amazing — fantastic throughout.
“And we’re good. I was desperately worried about Lisa in rehab.
“But they start introducing phone calls after a few weeks. This is something that I’ve gone through, I’ve done it. I’ve stuck to it. I’m proud of doing it. There’s a very positive outcome which is great.
“Lisa has gone back to work. She’s got all the pre-filming for Strictly next week.
“She’s been very supportive. As has Dec. Time will tell (about the marriage). It’s very personal, isn’t it.”
Ant and Lisa met back in 1994 and dated for 11 years before Ant popped the question in 2005. They married a year later with Dec as best man.
Just days ago ITV gave the biggest hint yet that Ant will be returning to host I’m A Celebrity with Declan Donnelly.
The presenter’s role on the show was shrouded in uncertainty following his stint in rehab.
But the channel appeared to lay any concerns to rest as they shared a teaser trailer for the upcoming series – with both Ant and Dec’s voices clearly audible.
In the very short clip, the popular Geordie duo can be heard saying: “Let’s Get Ready To Jungle.”
The promo comes just days after last year’s winner Scarlett Moffatt told The Sun Online that Ant would be taking part in the show when it kicks off this month.
She told us: "I'm so excited to be back with Ant and Dec. I was texting Dec yesterday about it. I've been packed for three weeks. It's not long now."
She continued: "The intention is [that Ant will be there]. We’ve spoken yeah. He’s doing well."
Ant is readjusting back to normal life following a two month rehab stint due to struggles with prescription painkiller addiction.
And production on the series was pushed back for three weeks in order to give the TV star enough time to rest and recover ahead of his work commitments.
Scarlett's words come after Ant's presenting partner Dec reportedly told pals he "would never" host the ITV1 show without Ant.
Pals previously told that Dec has no intention on working without Ant on any "major" show and added: "He has said the last thing he would do is go to Australia without him."
Ant and Dec have co-hosted the hit reality contest since 2002.
The new series start is set to start next month.
Ant, who got hooked on painkillers after an agonising knee op, jetted off to California last month with agent Paul Worsley.
A source close to the star said: “He’s gone to get away from the spotlight. He’s in recovery and it’s important he has time and space.

“Paul’s gone to provide support. He is one of his closest friends.”
A TV insider added: “Ant needed some space away. Everyone completely understands.”
