Strictly Come Dancing’s Gemma Atkinson joined by former flame Ryan Giggs at rehearsal as she addresses Gorka Marquez romance rumours
GEMMA Atkinson surprised fans by inviting her rumoured ex Ryan Giggs to watch her dance rehearsals this week.
The actress' romance with professional dancer Gorka Marquez has been making headlines in recent weeks, but that didn't stop the Hollyoaks star from spending time with her former flame.
Gemma's dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec shared a clip from the pair's rehearsal studio in which Gemma and Ryan could be seen having a chat during a break from her training.
In the clip, Aljaž pretending to dance for Gemma, footballer Ryan and BBC comms head Vicky Owens before they jokingly gave him low scores for his efforts.
Aljaž captioned the post: "@glouiseatkinson, @vicky_owens and Mr. Giggs are a tough crowd😕".
The clip comes just weeks after the group were also seen enjoying a dinner together in Manchester.
Gemma, 32, and Ryan, 43, were spotted on a date at George’s ten months ago following a flirtation at Christmas and during his divorce battle with Stacey Cooke.
But The Sun revealed Gemma has been spending quality time with Strictly hunk Gorka since the new series of the dance competition kicks off.
Though the budding romance is said to have caused a rift between Gorka and his celebrity dance partner Alexandra Burke.
The Sun's Bizarre column revealed earlier this week that the singer is furious with her hunky Spanish dance partner for embarking on a romance with former Emmerdale actress Gemma.
But despite the tension between the dance partners, it hasn't spilled over into any animosity between the women themselves.
“We’re all so focused on our dances that we haven’t got time to fall out. Gorka’s priority on the show is getting Alexandra through week by week, the same thing Aljaz has.
“My focus is pleasing Aljaz, it’s the same for every couple.”
However Gemma did admit romance could well and truly be on the cards for her and Gorka.
She added: "I think he’s absolutely brilliant and we are getting to know each other, but for now the main focus is dancing.”
Asked if anything could happen once the show ends, she coyly replied: "We’ll see."
Gemma and Aljaž Škorjanec will perform a Salsa to Sun Comes Up by Rudimental ft. James Arthur on Saturday's show and are hoping to continue their impressive run on the BBC show.
