This Morning viewers stunned as Eamonn Holmes flirts with Alex Jones in front of his wife Ruth Langsford
THIS Morning viewers were left stunned today as Eamonn Holmes made a very flirty comment to Alex Jones in front of wife Ruth Langsford.
The One Show presenter, 50, appeared on the show to talk about her new TV show when the conversation turned to Strictly Come Dancing.
Alex finished fifth on the show alongside dance professional James Jordan back in 2011, but admitted: " I don't know how I was in the semi-final, I was hideous."
Eamonn told her: “Those legs may have had a lot to do with it. Very good.”
Those watching at home couldn’t believe his remark and joked that wife Ruth wouldn’t be too happy.
One person wrote: “Eamonn in the dog house when they get home #thismorning.”
While another commented: “Eamonn perving on Alex Jones legs right infront of his wife #ThisMorning #awkward.”
And someone else questioned: “Was Eamonn Holmes' comment about Alex Jones' legs an inappropriate remark? 🤔 #ThisMorning.”
Meanwhile Eamonn caused a stir earlier on in This Morning when he wandered into his interview with Alex late after the ad break.
Alex was appearing on the show to talk about her new TV show Secrets in My Family, which involves using pioneering DNA test to allow people to dig deeper into their family history.
Alex also revealed during the interview that she once managed to give legendary singer Lionel Richie norovirus.
She said: "It was his own fault – I had the norovirus. I came back to work maybe a day too early, still felt a bit grey.
"At the end of the interview, the programme had finished, I went to give him a polite kiss on the cheek and he turned his head and went for the lips.
"So we went full on lips and then he was down with the norovirus. He had to cancel his tour dates."
Her appearance on the show comes after it was revealed that she got a rather rude awakening after discovering her The One Show co-host took home a whooping £50,000 than her.
The pay discrepancy was revealed earlier this year when the BBC released its top earners list, which detailed BBC employees who earn over £150,000 for their work at the publicly-funded corporation.
While Alex isn’t exactly struggling to make ends meet – the list revealed she received between £400,000 and £449,000 for her hosting duties – the Welsh star says she was taken by surprise that former Blue Peter star was receiving £450,000 to £499,000.
Alex told the : “Matt and I have never discussed wages, but I assumed we got paid the same. I was quite shocked. I guess everybody else was."
