Alexandra Burke is all smiles as she’s seen for the first time since rift with dance partner Gorka Marquez over his dates with Gemma Atkinson
ALEXANDRA Burke is all smiles as she was pictured for the first time since The Sun revealed she’s “at war” with her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez for romancing rival contestant Gemma Atkinson.
But The X Factor winner put the rift to one side as she stepped out to sell poppies outside London’s Paddington Station for The Royal British Legion.
Alexandra kept warm for the cold in a chic black coat, Louis Vuitton scarf and grey over-the-knee boots.
The singer joined fundraising efforts ahead of Armistice Day as the charity aims to raise £1million with different displays and celebrity appearances at train stations across the country.
Meeting passersby at the busy train station might have come as a welcome break for Alexandra after we revealed tensions have grown so high between her and Gorka during their rehearsals they have been embroiled in full-blown screaming matches.
Emmerdale actress Gemma, 32, is partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec, 27, but last month The Sun revealed she had clicked with Gorka the moment they met in group rehearsals.
Sources on the BBC1 show have already said Alexandra, 29, is furious with Gorka, 27 as she claims he is not focusing on dancing with her.
Gorka, who has hailed Gemma as a “beautiful girl”, admits Alexandra often infuriates him during training.
The Spanish hunk said: “She shouts more to me than I shout at her. She brings the beast out of me.”
WITH HER IN SPIRIT Alexandra Burke says she thought she saw ghost of her mum in Strictly audience
And in an exclusive interview, Alexandra said: “He’s scared of me. There was one time that he stopped mid-dance and I shouted and I screamed at him saying, ‘You are meant to be a pro, don’t ever stop’. He was like, ‘Whooah, OK girl. I will never stop again’.”
Meanwhile, judge Craig Revel Horwood hit back at claims Strictly has been fixed for Alexandra, whose mum Melissa Bell died just weeks before the series.
Writing in his Woman magazine column, Craig, 52, says: “The ‘fix’ reports surrounding Alexandra are ridiculous.”
