Selena Gomez pictured watching Justin Bieber playing ice hockey as their rekindled romance hots up

The pair continued to fuel rumours of a reconciliation as they went for another cosy date

SELENA Gomez enjoyed yet another date with Justin Bieber yesterday as she watched the pop superstar play hockey in Los Angeles.

The singer and actress took time out of her busy schedule to see the Baby hitmaker compete on the ice.

Selena kept warm in a black turtleneck jumper and trousers paired with a frayed denim jacket.

The Revival hitmaker looked content to be sitting on the sidelines as she cheered on her former flame, who she has dated on and off for several years.

Fans will no doubt be expecting the pair to rekindle their romance after Selena recently split from boyfriend The Weeknd.

Sources close to Selena, 25, and The Weeknd - real name Abel Tesfaye - claim the pair's busy careers hindered their romance, as they had been spending a lot of time apart.

A pal said: "She and Abel have been going back and forth for a few months about their relationship. It’s been hard with him being on tour and her shooting in New York. That wasn’t easy on them."

The source revealed how Abel called Selena and explained how the relationship was no longer working for him and then ended it.

Selena's family are said to be furious that she's spending more and more time with Justin.

A source close to Selena’s family told TMZ: "Justin is a vile human and will never be accepted by us. As long as she is even speaking to him in any way, it is not only disrespectful to everyone around her, it is disrespectful to herself."

It has also been claimed that some members of Selena’s family believe Justin was the catalyst behind the depression that caused the starlet to check into rehab last year.

However, Selena hasn't been taking her family’s feelings on-board – she’s been spotted with Justin at least three times in the last week alone.

Selena and Justin have also been seen looking cosy while out and about riding their bikes together.

Justin previously described his intense relationship with the singer in an interview with Complex magazine.

He said: "I moved in with my girlfriend when I was 18. Started my own life with her.

"It was a marriage kind of thing. Living with a girl, it was just too much at that age.

"But we were so in love. Nothing else mattered. We were all about each other."

"When stuff would happen, I would lose my freakin’ mind, and she would lose her mind, and we would fight so hard because we were so invested in each other.

"Love is a choice. Love is not a feeling. People have made it seem in movies that it’s this fairy tale. That’s not what love is. You’re not gonna want to love your girl sometimes but you’re gonna choose to love her. That’s something in life that I had to figure out."
