NEW! Extreme Wives with Kate Humble, 9pm, BBC Two
In this new series, Kate Humble (second right) travels the world to investigate the role of women in different cultures. First up is the Kuria region in Kenya, where polygamy is commonplace, along with woman-to-woman marriage.
Kate stays with one family whose patriarch has four wives and matriarch has two of her own, and approaches the complex web of relationships with such good humour, telling them that her husband would say one wife is enough trouble, that they all collapse in giggles.
But as Kate goes on to explore the now illegal practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) in the area, things turn serious.
She witnesses girls being transported to be cut, and it brings both her and her anti-FGM campaigner companion Peter to tears. Powerful TV.
LIVE! England v Germany, 7.30pm, ITV
Yes, it’s the Germans again.
This, the third friendly against Germany in 18 months, is another chance for England to test themselves against one of the best in the world. Last time, in March, despite a star performance from Spurs ace Dele Alli (above), they lost 1-0.
With just over 200 days until the World Cup begins in Russia, boss Gareth Southgate will want to improve on that.

Actress, singer and superstar Demi Lovato (above) is Greg James and Dotty’s co-host, singing songs from her latest album Tell Me You Love Me as well as introducing Plan B and Loyle Carner.
As all her fans (called Lovatics) and people who saw her as a judge on The X Factor USA know, Demi is great fun, so it should be a show you’ll Lov.
The Graham Norton Show, 10.35pm, BBC One
To some, he’s Daniel Cleaver from the Bridget Jones films.
To others, he’ll always be the Prime Minister from Love Actually.
And now, to a whole new generation of kids, he’ll be Phoenix Buchanan from Paddington 2. Hugh Grant (above) has a laugh with Graham tonight, alongside Kelly Clarkson, who performs Love
