WHAT can't you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows...
NEW! The Murder of Becky Watts: Police Tapes, 9pm, ITV
In February 2015, 16-year-old Becky Watts was killed in her own home in Bristol by her stepbrother and his girlfriend.
You may have followed the headlines as the police inquiry took place, and now Susanna Reid (right) presents this forensic analysis of the case, providing access to never-before-seen police tapes to give us an unprecedented insight into the investigation.
It’s fascinating to see how Avon and Somerset police detectives quiz suspects Nathan Matthews and Shauna Hoare, drip-feeding them information to increase the pressure in the interview room, then bone-chilling to witness footage of the couple’s home being searched.
The most affecting part, however, is the unseen home-video footage of Becky, which has been shared by her family for the first time, as well as Susanna’s conversations with Becky’s dad Darren and stepmum Anjie.
It’s these moments that remove you from the clinical, carefully plotted aspects of the police investigation and take you to the heart of a family’s pain.
NEW! Sam Smith At The BBC, 8pm, BBC One
You’re no one until you’ve had your own At The BBC special, and Sam Smith (right) is the latest superstar to enter the pantheon.
As well as performing a slew of songs from his new album, The Thrill Of It All, along with past hits, he’ll sit down with Fearne Cotton (left) for a chinwag about life, love and everything in-between.
Ugly House To Lovely House with George Clarke, 8pm, Channel 4
The 60s have a lot to answer for when it comes to architecture and interior design.
Case in point, Allan (left) and Wendy’s (centre) dated home in Colchester, Essex. George Clarke (right) hopes to bring them into the 21st century by pairing them with Chris Dyson, one of the nation’s top architects.
But can Chris make them happy on a £150k budget?
NEW! Angry, White and American, 10pm, Channel 4
In these divided times of Trump’s America, this powerful film examines what has caused so many white Americans to feel disenfranchised and affiliate themselves with the far right.
Unfolding in the lead-up to this summer’s white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, West Virginia, journalist Gary Younge (above) attempts to understand where these controversial views come from.
