WHAT can't you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows...
LAST IN SERIES! Doc Martin, 9pm, ITV
We know she’s been a guest star in this show before, but it’s still very odd seeing Hollywood leading lady Sigourney Weaver (right) popping up in Portwenn.
She’s back for this series finale as Beth Traywick or ‘The American’, as the locals remember her, who’s investigating her family history.
There’s a long line of Traywicks throughout Cornwall, and she thinks they might hold the key to why she’s been feeling unwell of late. Could she be suffering from a malady known as the ‘Celtic Curse’?
It’s a bit of a shame the character of Beth is only peripheral and largely underused, though, as this episode really centres on whether Martin gets to keep his job at the surgery.
He’s got to sit before an intimidating panel who will decide whether his blood phobia – and the fact that he passed out with a patient in the room – means he’s unfit to work as a GP or if he can continue to practise medicine.
With comic relief from absurd chemist Mrs Tishell and lots of good stuff from recurring guest star Vincent Franklin, it’s tidily plotted with some engaging twists.
The Doc will be missed.
NEW! Big Life Fix: Children In Need special, 9pm, BBC Two
Simon Reeve (left) and his team are back to transform more lives, and this time they’re helping challenged children.
Your heart will go out to eight-year-old Josh (centre), who is blind and struggles to play with his friends.
Enter design strategist Ruby Steel (right), who creates a solution so brilliant even she cries when she sees how it changes Josh’s world.
The Apprentice, 9pm, BBC One
Newly shaken-up teams Graphene, led by Elizabeth, and Vitality, run by Sarah-Jayne, must plan tours of Bruges, Belgium, as the series reaches its hilarious halfway mark.
Elizabeth leads her tour like a bossy teacher herding schoolkids, while Andrew’s (above) group wastes ages looking for a famous hospital’s entrance.
It’s no summer holiday for one team once back in the boardroom…
NEW! DIY SOS: The Big Build, 8pm, BBC One
Nick Knowles (right) returns to Manchester, where two years ago he and his crew began transforming a derelict street into a community for veterans and locals.
Now they aim to finish off the last remaining home for amputee and single dad Simon Flores, whose foot was blown off by a roadside bomb during a patrol in Iraq.
