WHAT can't you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows...
NEW! Bear’s Mission With Rob Brydon, 9pm, ITV
After cavorting around Cornwall with Anthony Joshua last week, Bear Grylls (left) has a rather less sporty companion this time – comic Rob (right), who spends many more hours making terrible cruise adverts than he does mountaineering.
The Welshman is nervous, but seeks comfort in the fact that he’s in Snowdonia: “If I have to die anywhere – Wales.”
Treats for Rob to enjoy include jumping out of a helicopter into a freezing lake, abseiling into a sinkhole, sleeping in the ruins of an old mining cottage and seeing his underwear repurposed into a torch.
While we never really believe they’re ever in actual peril, it’s an enjoyable romp around the Welsh mountains and Rob puts his discomfort aside to remain a fun companion.
Plus, there’s some interesting insight into his career highs and lows.
NEW! Gogglebox: Celebrity Special for SU2C, 9pm, Channel 4
The annual extravaganza of stars on the sofa is back, but the names are being kept a closely guarded secret until just before transmission.
There’s been some great combinations of celebs in previous years (Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Noel Gallagher), but we still dream of seeing Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn cosying up on the couch.
Is this the year?
Sounds Like Friday Night, 7.30pm, BBC One
It’s time to make a decision: who is your favourite Liam? Is it One Direction’s Liam Payne or Oasis legend Liam Gallagher (above)?
They’re both on Greg James’ pop show, with the 1D star guest-hosting and taking part in some silliness as well as introducing performances from the older Liam and indie pop trio London Grammar.
LIVE! Match of the day: Hyde United v Milton Keynes, 7.30pm, BBC Two
A tie against League One side Milton Keynes might not seem like a big deal in an era of £200million transfers.
But for Hyde United, from the Northern Premier League Division’s One North, the chance to pit themselves against players such as Gboly Ariyibi (above) in this FA Cup first round is massive – and could keep them in business for several years.
