Jonny Mitchell hints Love Island co-stars are ‘faking’ their relationships as he denies ‘showmance’ with Made In Chelsea’s Steph Pratt
JONNY Mitchell has taken a swipe at some of his fellow Love Island stars as he hinted some of them are faking their relationships.
The reality star dissed the ‘showmances’ while gushing about his own relationship with Made In Chelsea’s Stephanie Pratt.
When asked directly about any of the current Love Island couples being a showmance, Jonny simply laughed and replied: “No comment.”
Speaking to OK! magazine about showmances, Stephanie said: “I’m so used to it. Everyone I date, they say it’s a showmance. But we don’t care what people think – it’s not a showmance.”
Jonny added: ” I feel like there’s a cut-off for that sort of thing, though.
“People in a showmance aren’t going to go to Bali together – at least, I don’t think they would. Why would you go and spend loads just to make it look believable? You’d just go to Spain or something like that.
As for what they would say to doubters of their relationship, Jonny stated: “I’d tell them to get themselves a hobby and stop concentrating on it so much.”
Steph admitted: “I mean, I’ve asked Jonny if anyone on Love Island are showmances or not, so I’m guilty of wondering about that too!”
Stephanie has been busy introducing Jonny to members of her family and recently revealed he’s even met her adorable newborn nephew Gunnar Stone – the son of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag – via FaceTime.
The Made In Chelsea star says Gunnar is the “most lovely boy” – and has made her brother “ecstatic”, though she’s denied it’s made her feel broody.
Gunnar was born on October 2, with The Hills’ Spencer revealing Heidi was surrounded by £20k worth of healing crystals in labour – and already, Steph and her fella have been introduced via the web.

Asked by The Sun Online to describe the tot, the American socialite gushed: “There are no words. He is the cutest, sweetest, most lovely little boy I’ve ever seen.
“I’ve only seen him on FaceTime, alongside Jonny, but I can see Spencer and Heidi are so happy. I’m hoping to go over there this month to see him with Jonny.
“Even with three hours of sleep they’re so happy. I’ve ever seen them so ecstatic.”
Commenting on the baby’s looks, Steph said the baby looks like a mix of both the former Celebrity Big Brother contestants – and she reckons she’ll be more strict than his parents.
She said: “Heidi and Spencer both look so alike so it’s hard to tell [who he looks more like]! Blonde hair, blue eyes – I can’t tell them apart. And Gunnar is the same!
“They’ll pretend to be strict, but they’ll be proper softies! I’ll probably be stricter!” she added.
Steph says she is yet to feel broody as a result of this news, but added she may do when meeting Gunnar – whose parents are planning to set up with Kylie Jenner’s future daughter – in person “at some point”.
Essex’s “fake millionaire” Jonny will also be introduced to Gunnar Stone – as well as Steph’s parents – in the near future despite the fact they’ve only been dating since August.
Socialite Steph – an ex of Spencer Matthews and Joey Essex – dished: “I’m really excited about it.
“Of course my dad went mad when he heard I was going to Bali with a stranger, but we had the best time.
“We laughed the whole time.”
Stephanie and Jonny laid on the PDAs with a trowel tonight when they hit the Amy Winehouse Foundation Gala in London.
The pair have enjoyed two luxury holidays together in the last month and a half, to Croatia and Bali.
